B.D. Shah College of Education established in 1968. This college was lucky to get competent, efficient educationist as Prinicipal,

Dr. Dawoodbhai A. Ghanchi. This insititution was awarded for the best education college" award by Government of Gujarat

in 1983 which gave it reputation all over the state and generated many new traditions for education institutions.

B.D. Shah College of Education has its independent two storeyed building along with all required facilities. There is a special

facility of a hostel for boys and girls seperately along with the facilities of mess. It has huge common playground in front of

the college building. It has a common gymnasium hall and special auditorium hall having provision of sitting for 250 students.

There is a provision of pure drinking water with acquaguard and cooling system. This institution has a nice garden in the front

and inner part. There are all types of appliances and apparatuses for teaching & learning.

Generally, the academic term of institution begins from 15th June and ends on 26th April B.Ed admission Cell of Hemchandracharya

North Gujarat University allots 100 student teachers having degrees of graduation / post graduation. Working hours of this

institution are from 11.15 A.M. to 5.15 P.M. from Monday to Friday. and on Saturday from 8.00 A.M. to 12.30 P.M. The syllabus

suggested by U.G.C and approved by the University is followed in teaching and practical work.

In the syllabus seven compulsory subjects are accomodated as under :

1 : Philosophical and sociological foundations & education.

2 : Development of learner and teaching learning- process.

3 : Development of education and Management in Secondary Education.

4 : Information & Communication Technology in EDucation.

5 : Elective Subjects (Any One)

a - Population Education.

b - Educational & Mental Measurement.

c - Information Technology in / Education.

6 & 7 : Any two methods from school subjects

There was not a single B.Ed. college for students in surrounding in the year 1960 at Sabarkanth District . with lots of struggle,

the Management society started college of education for students in 1960. Our B.Ed. College of Education is affilliated to

HEMCHANDRACHARYA NORTH GUJARAT UNIVERISTY - Patan - State - Gujarat in Inida. The location of the college is

really peaceful and encouraging atmosphere. having all necessary amenities required for the students
